This prototype was designed for Noritake of Japan. It features a gold plated lip and a sand etched design. The etching spans the entire circumference of the glass. First, the circumference of the glass was measured to provide a guide for the artwork. Next the artwork was fitted to the dimensions to give the appearance of a continuous design.
